Greetings Dear Friends!

I hope this newsletter finds you tuning into a strong heart center amidst quite the storm of happenings in our country and world.  Today I have written a reflection below for you about how psychedelics when paired with mindfulness can be a supportive ally in that quest for balance and peace despite whatever transpires on the external landscape.  This newsletter also features a podcast on the importance of nervous system regulation with psychedelics, research findings on the efficacy of psychedelics when used for relationship healing, how to move through recalled trauma that arises in a journey experience, and wisdom from one of my favorite teachers Freya from Norway on the messy reality of genuine healing.  I hope you find it all supportive! And once again, thank you for joining me on this journey of the heart.

The path of psychedelic medicine is not about fixing what is broken – it’s about embracing the innate wholeness that has always been there inside of you.  It’s about recognizing the inherent goodness, worthiness, power and agency that rests at the heart of your essential nature – through the compassionate healing of inner wounds created through trauma – while integrating fragments of self that have been splintered along the way.  These fragments are what the late Carl Jung often referred to as shadow.  Defined as: Repressed emotions, impulses and aspects of personality that have been denied or disowned, including both negative and positive qualities.  When these aspects of the psyche remain in the unconscious, and aren’t consciously brought into the light of awareness through intention and support, they hold immense power to hijack our mindset in dramatic ways sabotaging progress and creating disruption in many key aspects of life and relationship.

Yet its important to recognize the medicine is only a powerful catalyst and ally toward unearthing these subconscious wounds and shadows. Not the whole of the work itself. It supports insight, clarity and choice oriented shifts through the power of revelation, deep intuitive knowing, somatic experiencing and other powerful mechanisms of healing. It also creates a plastic (fluid) inner ecosystem where enduring changes can be made with greater support.  But ultimately it is up to you – the journeyer – to say YES to life and choose the wholeness that is your inherent birthright to integrate as a lifestyle.  This is why my programs, whether group or individual, spend a lot of time building positive habits, tools and devotional practices to heal and grow before and after the Rites of Passage immersive experience.  So the agency is held by you who then courageously decides to move into alliance with the ancient plant/fungi technology toward the embodiment of your true SELF. This is the great gift of the medicine when paired with an intentional mindfulness path. You can use the medicine to shine a light on the beauty that is already there while then using tools & practices to support both the letting go and integration of aspects of psyche splintered along the way that no longer serve your deepest truth.

Right now, every facet of our civilization is undergoing a state of unprecedented change.  It doesn’t take long when watching the news, scrolling social media or even just having a casual conversation with a friend or family member that the each one of us is getting challenged at a fundamental level as to how we choose to show up in Life while dealing with a seemingly endless onslaught of disruptive circumstances.  Finding solid ground is elusive at best, and navigating using the same old problem solving techniques the mind so steadily relied on in the past often feels woefully inadequate.  If you are feeling this way right now, like a ship out in a stormy sea knowing that turning back “to the way things were” is not an option but also feeling unsure where you’re going or when you may arrive at a new shore – you are not alone.  This liminal space, albeit it an often deeply uncomfortable one, is an essential part of the self-realization and healing process.  Finding true peace with a fully resourced center amidst the storm is the greatest means to empower the life you came here to live no matter what the outside world has in store. This path can be daunting to say the least, especially to a mind built to resist radical change. But it is more harrowing than living within the same fear based wounded patterns that have created so much suffering and confusion in the first place?

So I invite you to say yes to the mystery.  Yes to the unknown depths of the self.  Yes to your inherent right to live and thrive in a wholeness that cannot be given or taken away, only chosen again and again within.  The path is not easy, but in my humble opinion walking this journey for most of my life, it is the only way toward lasting joy, contentment and sense of deeper meaning.  For why else would we be here save becoming the most dynamic, sovereign, authentic expressions of our true creative nature?  If you feel the call to step onto this path of wholeness, or deepen an arc you have already begun, I am here with an open heart to serve as an ally, mentor, facilitator or friend.  There comes a time where living halfway no longer feels tolerable. When the suffering that comes from feeling a victim of life or realizing you were never really in control in the first place leads one to the altar of the inner heart.  And it is at this point when the hands are thrown up and the mind releases the reigns that true lasting change becomes possible.  This is the way home; and integration begins by saying yes to all that has been hidden, wounded or lost along the great odyssey of life. Yes to paradox. Yes to the beauty of both the light and shadow.  And Yes to choosing to LIVE with a loving heart filled with childlike wonder no matter what lessons this unfathomably powerful Earth School holds.  A willingness with intention is the first step.  The second step is letting go of who you think you are to discover who you truly are.

Sincerely,
Ehren

In this episode of The Psychedelic Podcast, Paul F. Austin speaks with Jonny Miller, founder of Nervous System Mastery and host of the Curious Humans podcast. Jonny shares how the loss of his fiancée led him into grief work, psychedelics, and the study of stress physiology. Their conversation explores the three pillars of nervous system mastery—interoception, capacity, and emotional fluidity—and how these skills can prepare and support deeper psychedelic experiences.

Jonny also reflects on the risks of hypoarousal and dissociation in psychedelic and breathwork practices, the role of relational health in nervous system regulation, and how high performers can shift from burnout-driven “dirty fuel” toward cleaner sources of creativity and joy.
Jonny Miller is the founder of Nervous System Mastery, a five-week experiential training that helps high performers cultivate calm, resilience, and embodied aliveness. His approach blends evidence-based protocols with practices drawn from breathwork, meditation, and stress physiology.

Jonny also co-created the Stateshift App and designed the Calm Cards Deck, practical tools for daily nervous system regulation. Jonny hosts the Curious Humans podcast, where he explores themes of resilience, embodiment, and curiosity with leading thinkers. His work centers on making nervous system literacy accessible for both personal growth and psychedelic preparation.
I first encountered Freya on a whim surfing wisdom traditions on youtube and was immediately captured by her fierce presence, deep sincerity and raw & wise perceptions on healing.  Now I consider her one of my favorite teachers on the path of awakening.  She is raw, honest and has a way to strike right to the heart of a given experience. I hope you enjoy this short video on the messy and raw process of shedding the old to make way for the new, within.

“Healing isn’t light and love—it’s collapse. Nobody talks about the part where you feel worse before you feel free. If you’re breaking right now, you’re not failing. You’re shedding. This Fjordcast is not a comfort video. It’s the truth most people won’t say out loud.” – Freya

Couples’ Psychedelic Use Supports Shared Reality and Relational Well-Being

The resurgence in research with classic psychedelics (e.g. LSD, psilocybin) underscores their potential for improved well-being; however, the interpersonal context and mechanisms of psychedelic impacts remain unknown. In a sample of 798 participants (81 couples), this survey study tested whether use of a psychedelic with a romantic partner (v. not together) was associated with couples’ shared understanding (i.e. shared reality) and changes in relational well-being. Multilevel dyadic analyses provided overwhelming support for hypotheses that taking a psychedelic together would be associated with greater shared reality and more positive relational changes (e.g. improved physical intimacy, emotional closeness, satisfaction). Shared reality mediated positive relational changes. Taking a psychedelic alone was indirectly associated with the decision to end a romantic relationship. Although limited by cross-sectional design and low dyadic participation, results emphasize the importance of a socially informed approach to the development of psychedelic therapies, with potential to increase treatment effectiveness and mitigate harms.

The SpArc Soul Path Mentorship Program

What does it mean to awaken into true flow? What does it take to arrive into that place of Being? Not just a moment of temporary coherence like an athlete who drops into the “zone” – but a state of enduring freedom, rapt presence, and dynamic creativity as the primary way you move through the world. What would it mean to live untethered by the limitations of your conditioned mind, instead experiencing life as an interconnected expression of your very nature?

Soul Path Mentorship is a 12-phase program designed to reconnect you with your essential being, your innate SELF that is boundless in potential and impact. Our first step together, is to build a powerful new foundation — your Client Internal Operating System — based in extraordinary self-care, clear personal boundaries and a disciplined adherence to wellness habits and mindfulness practices that support daily renewal, presence and growth.

With that groundwork set, we will then clarify and invigorate the “North Star” of your soul path. Through identifying and anchoring in your core values that define your vision and mission, we will determine with unshakable clarity not only that which you want to create in your life, but more importantly, how to become a living expression of it.

Finally, you will learn to alchemize a lifestyle that embodies your awareness into a continual psycho-spiritual flow. Through the adherence to a  path forged in personal accountability, discernment and the art of authentic resonance, you will gradually make the transition from a life of mental management to that of genuine heart coherence. The result – awaking into lasting presence that emanates vitality, resilience and freedom.

The Soul Path Mentorship program is not a bypass. It asks for your dedication to a process of rigorous healing, letting go of false narratives, and honest transformation. To actualize the inner light of your essential nature, you must be willing to face the shadow: the neurotic patterning born of trauma, wounds, and conditioning that often influences our lives in self-sabotaging ways. This path invites you into a lifestyle of self-reflection and impeccable effort, becoming a compassionate warrior in your inner and outer landscape.
In the end, this journey isn’t just about achieving goals. It’s a journey of soul remembrance. To rekindle the fire of the perfection that is inherently who you truly are.  Yet to get there, the ask is your devotion to healing, truth, and self-mastery. The result, awake into a way of Being that will change the way you experience life itself in every possible way.

It’s a question humans have grappled with since the beginning of time. Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids and created the Book of the Dead to guide souls through the afterlife. Buddhism set as its goal an escape from the cycle of death and life through enlightenment. Then in the 20th century, German philosopher Martin Heidegger argued that truly living requires confronting your mortality. And French philosopher and author Albert Camus found that death made life absurd, but argued that this is what gives it meaning.

Now, a new narrative medicine project in rural northern California aims to explore the question of how to face death through a set of films about psychedelic care for people with terminal illness. The Institute for Rural Psychedelic Care in Arcata, California, which has been using ketamine with palliative care patients for almost four years, is developing the films, which will feature interviews with patients on four themes: unfinished business and regrets; quality of relationships and love; legacy and meaning making; and finally, what exists beyond death. These are themes they say come up over and over again in their work…

The psychedelic 5-MeO-DMT seemed to induce similar patterns of brain activity in a lama – a revered spiritual teacher in Tibetan Buddhism – as meditation, advancing our understanding of the drug’s neurological effects

A master meditator has spent 15 years learning to quiet his sense of self – and brain scans suggest he achieved a similarly altered state with a powerful psychedelic.

“There seems to be, with that low dose [of the psychedelic], a significant overlap in terms of brain activity with what’s happening in non-dual meditation state [a style of practice that makes no distinction between the self and the rest of the world],” says Christopher Timmermann at University College London…

Binaural and solfeggio frequencies can be incredibly rejuvinating to the body and supportive to healthy brain function. Inner Lotus is a youtube channel I have personally be using for a few years for meditation, contemplation and sleep.  They have a vast library of specific frequencies that target certain forms of healing. I highly recommend checking them out and hope you enjoy!
