Exploring the Extraordinary lineage of Communal Psychedelics and the Great Recreational Use Myth

Greetings Dear Friends! I’m beyond thrilled to be sharing my talk “Why You Trippin” in collaboration with The Pearl Psychedelic Institute and the Psychedelic Society of Asheville this Friday, April 19th to celebrate Bicycle Day. Experiencing the transformative power of intentional psychedelic medicine in community settings is the eldest and most widely used immersive method. It has also served a cornerstone of growth and connection in my own life and the life of many I love for over 15 years. In this talk, I’ll explore the long winding path these medicines have taken since ancient culture, through the cultural explosion of 60’s through the current psychedelic renaissance underway. Filled with both personal stories from the journey and years of research, it’s sure to be an awesome evening of psychedelic story telling. We’ll then be diving into a new documentary called Hoffman’s Potion detailing the great Albert Hoffman’s discovery of LSD and his lie legacy – followed by a Q & A with both myself and the Director of the Pearl Institute Dr. Raymond Turpin.

Follow the Link below to the official Meetup to RSVP.  The event will be held at Elevated Kava lounge in Downtown Asheville. All suggested donation proceeds go directly to supporting The Pearl Psychedelic Society and the Psychedelic Society of Asheville.

Come join us on Sunday, April 28th 12pm-2pm for our monthly preparation & integration session.

Integration does NOT just occur in the few days or weeks following a journey. It is a lifelong process! Some say integration doesn’t actually begin till 2-3 months after a psychedelic experience – not till the pink cloud effect has worn off and you’re fully integrated back into “normal” life. That’s when the rubber really hits the road!

Integration support among community can help you continue receiving the benefits of psychedelic work while following through on the guidance offered by the medicine.

Benefits of group integration:

· Neuroplasticity – the opportunity to refire neurological pathways in new and novel ways that support growth and expansion. “Neurons that fire together, wire together.”- Neuropsychologist Donald Hebb
· Practice cultivating space for receiving ongoing gifts long after the psychedelic experience is over.
· Continuing to hold reverence for and deepen into your relationship with the medicine.
· Connecting with others who “speak the same language.”
· Feeling seen and heard amongst your peers.
· Engaging in the long and slow process of learning how to walk in the world as though every day is sacred.
This will be a smaller, more intimate gathering with the intention of creating a safe circle that allows time for all to share and connect.
Please RSVP at the Meetup Link below. I hope to see you there!

Is there just one “you”? We’ve been taught to believe we have a single identity, and to feel fear or shame when we can’t control the inner voices that don’t match the ideal of who we think we should be. Yet Dr. Richard Schwartz’s research now challenges this “mono-mind” theory. “All of us are born with many sub-minds – or parts,” says Dr. Schwartz. “These parts are not imaginary or symbolic. They are individuals who exist as an internal family within us – and the key to health and happiness is to honor, understand, and love every part.”
