Journey of Awakening

July 23-26, 2026

JOA II

"It’s hard to think of any part of the journey that did not work well for me. The preparation calls, creating my intention, the setting, the incredible supportive group, the schedule, the support from the team, how you made each phase work to support the journey, the care you all demonstrated during the experience to make it feel safe, the group sharing and the followup calls. I have been part of countless business retreats over the years and never experienced the care and professionalism that was part of this Journey experience.”

What does it mean to Awaken?

There comes a time in many of our lives where the journey of self-discovery asks for us to face a deeper and more profound truth than the mind can understand.  For some, this truth may arise spontaneously during an ecstatic experience where the heart soars open upon the winds of infinite possibility.  Yet for many, this path is revealed through the Dukka (Suffering) – where the stories, conditions, and wounds we have held during our life or even through generations start to break down in the face of a deeper rising awareness.  And it’s in those precious moments of rapture and despair, that the soul whispers for us to remember. Letting go of the illusions of control, ignorance and confusion – to make way for our essential nature to arise; our authentic expression of who we truly are beyond the conditioning.

Awakening is about death and rebirth.  The death of who we thought we were to emerge into the light of who we truly are. This truth rises through the heart with an undeniable power and sense of wholeness.  Yet when this evolutionary shift occurs, the mind often needs support to surrender into this undeniable reality.  That is where this sacred container comes in.

For many of us, awakening happens in stages.  We get a glimpse of our boundless potential, yet our trauma, wounds and unfinished kamma pulls us back down to the gravitational field of the ego’s dominant purview.  Yet from that point of encounter with one’s soul nature, it is no longer possible to live in the potency of a cause & effect reality in our former ignorance. Integrity and virtue, honesty and sincerity become the path for one’s gradual unfoldment.  And when we don’t adhere to that which is true to resonance, we suffer in powerfully disruptive ways.

This retreat is designed for travelers of the path of the awakened heart. A path that is not meant to be walked alone. What are you genuinely ready to let go of?  What no longer serves your soul?  What does your body, mind, and spirit need to enrichen, enliven and nurture the full emergence of your essential nature? And how can sacred medicine, mindfulness, self-inquiry, ceremony, radical creative expression and spiritual family support you on this critical phase in your journey?

If you have found this retreat, it may be time for you to take that courageous step forward; guided by heart, driven by love, anchored in truth.  This is your Rites of Passage – and we are honored to walk alongside you as you choose to become that which you have always been meant to be. Sovereign. Whole. The embodiment of your precious truth.

“My personal journey has always been one of becoming a better human. I am successful and fulfilled professional, with a thoughtful and extensive spiritual practice… that was lying dormant in my past and was almost forgotten. I longed to remember and reconnect with my deepest, strongest, most generative self: My trust in this group of facilitators opened an avenue for doing so in a way that is fast, deep and viscerally imprinting that is unforgettable. Thanks to their extraordinary care in preparation, environment, atmosphere, ceremonial wisdom and music (truly “of the spheres”). Some undeniable and clear certitudes came to me in response to my inner questions and unsettled wonderings. I never felt unsafe for a minute. Neither could i ever misunderstand this Journey as a recreational event devoid of purpose. The SpArc facilitates us receiving the healing, wise power of the medicines that allow us to realize, gratefully and reverently, how connected we are to everything and everyone.”

Aaroon Snooks

Aaron Snook

( Assistant Facilitator & Breathwork Facilitator)

After 25 years as a celebrated theater director, artist and myth master storyteller, Aaron has spent the past three years immersed in the intentional psychedelic space and its complementary modalities.  In 2024 he became a Third Wave Psychedelic Certified Coach (CCP6) followed by becoming certified in Elemental Rhythm Breathwork in 2025….

Later that year, he completed training with Beyond Protocol, which was taught by indigenous healers across the globe.  Around the same time, with the intention of building a stronger relationship with the land he stewards, he became certified in Permaculture Landscape Design with Wild Abundance.  In January of this year, he travelled to Huautla, Mexico to sit in ceremony with Eugenia Casimiro in the Mazateca tradition of the Ninos Santos.

He now sees his life in theatre, where he sought catharsis through ritual, as the essential foundation of his calling: to collaborate in the next evolution of Ceremony, in service to our collective health and unity.

Chef Saedras

(Chef & Community Leader)

Chef Saedrás, MBA (Chef & Community Leader)
Saedrás began his culinary journey over 25 years ago, guided by a passion for food’s ability to nourish, connect, and inspire. Formally trained at AB Tech’s culinary program in Asheville, his belief as a chef is rooted in community. Food is best experienced together with the people we love around a table. He believes meals are grounding experiences that allow creativity to flow and foster a deeper presence.
Returning to the Journey of Awakening for a second year, Saedrás approaches cooking each meal through a carefully crafted process guided by a sense of adventure; from the journey’s entry to its magical exit, with nutritional pairings woven across the weekend so every participant’s experience is as filling and supportive as possible. The 5-course Hero’s Journey dinner is one of his favorite expressions of this craft, where each course becomes part of the story being told at the table.

Beyond the kitchen, Saedrás holds a B.S. in Business Project Management and an MBA in Project Management, pairing structure with heart in everything he does. Through his leadership in the ManKind Project and years of personal development, he brings empathy, clarity, and care to the spaces he serves. A longtime practitioner of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s meditations, his inner work fuels his deeper Why: to help others find unique solutions in self-improvement, so that they authentically create positive change.
